Auditions for Broadway Through the Ages: A Virtual Concert
With the lights on Broadway dimmed for the time being, Springfield Theatre Centre invites you to take a trip with us to the Great White Way as we cover decades of Broadway’s most familiar tunes. Springfield’s finest performers take on everything from classics like Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Bernstein, Lloyd-Webber, and Wilson, to modern hits like Jason Robert Brown, Lin Manuel Miranda, and Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman. AUDITION INFORMATION
Springfield Theatre Centre is looking to cast up to 20 adults with various voice types to perform various solo, duet, and group numbers for this unique virtual concert. This production will be filmed ahead of a release on ShowTix4U streaming site (please note that this is NOT a live performance opportunity). Auditions will be held on February 20th from 9am-12pm at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. There will be three audition time slots. STC’s COVID response guidelines will be followed during auditions including mandatory mask wearing, social distancing, and sanitizing between auditionees. At auditions, auditionees will be screened (including a temperature scan) prior to entering the building. Pre registration is required. REHEARSAL AND FILMING SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will begin the week after auditions. primarily will be Monday-Thursday in the evenings. Cast members will not be scheduled each night. Filming will take place around March 27th. Cast will be needed the week before for tech rehearsals. More details will be shared at auditions.
