“There’s more than one way to have a relationship,” says Ken Bradbury. “In fact, I know of at least eight.” And that’s the premise for Couplings, Bradbury’s new play to be presented at the Hoogland Center by the Springfield Theatre Centre. Couplings is a Readers Theatre production featuring 15 of the area’s best known actors in a dessert theatre setting. “It’s a bit unusual,” says Bradbury, “in that the audience follows eight stories at once, but after all, isn’t that sort of potpourri the type of thing that makes up a relationship between two people?”   Bradbury says he got the idea from one of his students who was shocked to find that the young man’s parents had traveled to Woodstock. “The poor kid said he was weeks trying to recover from it.”
