Auditions for STC’s A Play That Goes Wrong will be held at the Hoogland Center for the Arts on Saturday August 20th.

Annie – the company’s stage manager
Stage Crew – the Cornley Polytechnic stage crew*
Trevor – the company’s lighting and sound operator
Chris – head of the drama society, director of the play, and plays ‘Inspector Carter’
Jonathan – plays ‘Charles Haversham’
Robert – plays “Thomas Colleymoore’
Dennis – plays ‘Perkins’
Max – plays ‘Cecil Haversham’ and ‘Arthur’
Sandra – plays ‘Florence Colleymoore’
Characters in the Murder Mystery Play (played by the parts listed above)
Charles Haversham – deceased
Thomas Colleymoore – Charles’ old school friend
Perkins – Charles’ butler
Cecil Haversham – Charles’ brother
Florence Colleymoore – Charles’ fiancee and Thomas’ sister
Inspector Carter – an esteemed local inspector
Arthur – the gardener at Haversham Manor
*Stage Crew (also play characters) — ideally people who are comfortable working backstage and onstage. These parts aren’t just acting…they have a backstage purpose.
Key point for all: be fearless. There is nothing subtle about this show. We need people who are willing to be ridiculous.

At this time, STC will no longer be requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for auditionees or those that are cast in our productions.
Springfield Theatre Centre will be following guidance from the CDC, IDPH, Hoogland Center for the Arts, and other resources to craft our COVID Health and Safety Production Procedures. These procedures will be distributed to all individuals involved in the production at the initial cast and staff meeting and whenever procedural changes have been made to reflect the current climate.
